Match Preview: India Vs England, T20 World Cup

The last time when India faced England was in the month of July this year when India edged past England by 2-1 in the T-20 series. These two teams are going to play against each other once again in the semifinal stage of the men’s ICC World Cup cricket tournament being held in Australia(India Vs England). The most notable thing is that the intricacies of these two teams have changed significantly since July and we are all waiting for a tough fight in the semifinals.

Here, we like to mention that several Indian batters including Suryakumar Yadav and Virat Kohli are in great form with KL Rahul putting up a remarkable performance during the last two games. The most consistent bowler of India has been Arshdeep Singh who has taken some valuable tickets during the group-stage matches. He is able to swing the ball in both directions which has proved to be beneficial for the Indian team so far.

On the other hand, England will be in some sort of trouble since two of their most consistent players Mark Wood and Dawid Malan are nursing their injuries sustained during the group-stage matches. Both these two players are doubtful for tomorrow’s match which is going to be held in Adelaide overall in Australia. The good thing about England is that two of their openers, Alex Hales and Jos Buttler are in sublime touch and they are expected to provide a solid start to England while they bat against India. In short, both these teams can boast of having a formidable lineup that will make the contest intriguing in the long run.

Pitch conditions

Here, we like to mention that the pitch on this ground happens to be a genuine head-turner. In short, we can describe the pitch as a paradise for the batsman since they can easily find the boundary by the manner in which the ball meets the bat. One can rightly assert that a total of approximately 180 runs will be expected by the team batting first. We all hope for a high-scoring match tomorrow if everything goes well according to the plan.

DK or Pant?

Despite the fact that the Indian team has been able to win four games out of five in the group stage, their main concern is that they have not been able to get the best performance from their wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik. However, Rishabh Pant who replaced him in a couple of matches appeared to be confused while batting against the opposition. He was in a sort of dilemma about whether to defend or attack. Pant will be a better choice against the England spin attack consisting of Rashid; however, it depends on the choice of the coach in the long run. If he wants to go for an expert finisher then he might be choosing Karthik in the long run.

Conclusion of India Vs England

We’re all hoping to see an interesting battle tomorrow between two of the most powerful teams on the planet. Playing in a World Cup matters a lot, and both these teams are expected to give their best.
